I'm suppose to meet Robin tonight at 8:30 at East of 8th. Well that didn't happen. I was about 5 miles from Eof8th on the NJ Turnpike and traffic stopped quickly. Up ahead about a ˝ mile away I saw many police, fire truck, ambulance lights flashing. Forty minutes later I passed the accident up. A car decided to make a change of lanes and went under an 18 wheeler. Not good. My heart sang because having flipped my car on a highway at 65 MPH almost a year ago I can somewhat imagine what took place and how quickly these things happen. I can't imagine this person living to tell the story. Reminds me that life is short and you never know when your time expires. Sad as it is, it happens to all.

I met Robin on the corner of 23rd and 8th Ave at 9:30 and we caught a taxi to The Garage. Scelia and Bridgette are tending bar tonight. Place is packed once again and no seats available at the bar. And it's not like they only have 10 seats, more like 40. We did get seats about 15 minutes after arriving.

After Garage we decided to go to Madison which is newly opened and replaces Ruby Fruit on Hudson St. It was okay and we lasted one drink then walked to Cubby Hole which is located about 5 minutes away. Crowded here too but we met a few girls to chat with. They were both cute and smart as whips. I was very impressed with them.

About 3am we went to the diner for breakfast. I got home at 6am. I didn't get out of bed until noon. I was going to go out again Saturday but decided to stay home and enjoy my time. I rarely have much time to myself these days.
