Tonight was a longer night than usual compared to the other nights out this past year or so. It was me and Robin tonight.

It's a Saturday night and we started the night out by meeting at East of Eighth. We had one drink and then headed over to the Diaoh Sushi restaurant on 23rd St and 8th Ave. The food here is very fresh and good. The only knock I have with the place is that they tend to try and seat the tgirls in corners. They offered us a corner and I spoke up and told them I preferred another table and showed them which one. "Nobody puts Lily in a corner." (Favorite Dirty Dancing Line)

Garage is next on the agenda. Tonight it's very packed. Bar is full and a big wait for the restaurant area. It took us about 15 minutes but we got seats at the bar. We kind of figured out who was paying their bar tab and hung over them like vultures. Hey it works. LOL. Marianne told us that the sushi place around the corner was robbed tonight. Happy we weren't at that sushi place tonight; I have been there with Jamey a couple of months ago.

At the stroke of midnight we decided to go over to Kenny's Castaways over on Bleecker St which is two blocks south of Garage. But forgot that you have to walk about 10 minutes down on Bleecker St to get to the bar/club. It's always an interesting walk….it's like walking the gauntlet. You need to pass by thousands of the college type and B&T crowd. For those not familiar with B&T, it's a term to describe what we call the "Bridge and Tunnel" crowd. Less sophisticated than the Manhattan crowd and they usually don't know how to behave themselves. Anyway we did well, only got one guy make a remark. Ignored him as if he didn't exist.

This is my 3rd time at Kenny's. It gets a college type crowd, but the music is usually good. Tonight the band is made up guys in their young twenties. They reminded me a bit of the Grateful Dead and Phish. I enjoy this place a lot. When the barmaid came over to see what we wanted to drink, she remembered me. I haven't been here since last summer, but she remembered who I work for and where I work. Damn I must have been spilling my guts last time. Anyway I was impressed that she remembered me and our conversation. Later on I had two guys ask me on the dance floor. They must have seen me seat dancing and enjoying the music. It was all fun.

At 2:00 we decided to head over to Arthurs Tavern for a last drink. That last drink actually turned out to be two. When I opened the door to the bar there was a big commotion going on. Some guy and his girlfriend were getting the old heave ho out the bar. I soon found out that they took swings at the bartender. The police were called to the bar. At the same time that was happening I made eye contact with a good friend of mine I hadn't seen in awhile…Jennifer. I've known her going back about 15 years. She use to be the barmaid at Ruby Fruits over on Hudson St. We had a lot of great times and I know she has many pictures on the website with me. And she still as beautiful as ever.

But not only did I see Jennifer but I also noticed immediately that she was with Noe. I met Noe about six months ago at this bar and we hit it off very, very well. And here are both of them together hanging out. Two of my favorite women together. And both hot. But we had a lot of fun hanging. We didn't close the bar down, but came within 15 minutes of doing so. We headed out to breakfast at 3:45 am.

It was a real fun night.
